The summer season is open, and a couple of things changed at the gate this year. After a long closure the Antique Pool is back, and the evening night hours have returned too. Here is the current picture for 2026; the permanent detail lives, as always, on the tickets and opening hours page.
Tickets and hours, the short version
Foreign entry this season is the equivalent of €30, and the single ticket covers the terraces, Hierapolis, and the Archaeology Museum together. Turkish citizens enter with the Museum Pass. Only the swim in the Antique Pool is extra, paid at the pool’s own gate.
Gates open at 08:00 and close at 21:00 through summer, dropping to 08:00 to 18:00 in winter. Ticket sales stop about half an hour before closing, so it’s better not to leave it to the last moment.
Two things that are new this season
The Antique Pool is open again. Cleopatra’s Pool was closed for a long maintenance stretch; it reopened to visitors in spring 2026. The warm mineral water and the marble columns on the bottom are back for anyone who wants to get in. The evenings are open again. Summer brings night museum hours after the daytime close. Seeing the floodlit terraces once the crowd that fills those steps by day has thinned is a different thing entirely, and you dodge the heat while you’re at it. The last hour was always our favourite anyway.
When to come
For a daytime visit the first hour after the gates open is best, before the tour buses arrive from other cities. If you’re dodging the heat and the crowds, the evening window is made for you.
